The Untimely Death Of A Legend,

The decision of  the top three snowmobile manufactures to eliminate the triple 800 engines from their product line  has not only infuriated long time triple riders but has also deprived them of owning the smoothest running high performance engines ever made.

If you have been a triple rider you know exactly where I am coming from.

There is no two cylinder snowmobile engine that even comes close to the Sound, Feel, Power and Acceleration of a triple.

It is a travesty that the Manufacturers have put the all mighty dollar above the wishes of their customers, There has been a stiff resistance of customers who deplore this action but with no success. I bought an 800 XC this year and wound up giving it to my wife after a couple of rides.

I am fortunate enough to be able to keep my 2002 and 2003 xcr' 800s and I will never give them up, although the XCR chassis is old technology, I will keep rebuilding them, with the new generation motors coming out the 2 cylinder scheme is still the norm.

HTG Racing  is preserving the legend by installing trail ready 185 hp Polaris triples into Edge chassis for a modest fee about $6000.00, engine, Pipes and all related hardware included, This is a good option for anyone who would like a triple.
