Glenn's Tech Tips |

|
Glenn Stahl, Has Owned and operated the Snowmobile Shed in Hancock N.H. since the early 70's, doing repairs and performance work and has a great deal of knowledge on how to keep your machine in top running condition,
When you are done riding for the day remove your belt and store it inside. In the morning start your machine and let The motor warm up,shut it down and wipe the frost off your drive clutch, Yes the frost that grew there when your hot clutch cooled down the night before. Install your nice warm soft drive belt and drive away like you have been riding all night, this also saves the belt from damage due to the belt being hard as rock from the cold night and smoking a big smile in it trying to get it going. This is in most owners manuals if you ever read them. By the looks of the people I have watched at the cabanon corral on those -30 f mornings I would say they don't read their books.Try it you will like it, Also a big surprise for those people that may try to drive off with your sled in the middle of the night.
